Who Can Attend? 

Adults age 18 and older (unless they have received special permission from the host) from all experience levels are invited to apply, including high school graduates, college students, teachers, and performers. High school students may attend with permission from the host. The class is limited to 20 performers and an unlimited number of auditors. Performers are chosen based on their goals and experience level.

Where: California State University - Sacramento State School of Music, Sacramento, CA, USA

When: June 24-28, 2024

Schedule: 

The week begins with a recital given by Carolyn Hove on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 7PM (open to the public) in Capistrano Concert Hall. Master classes, small group reed making sessions, rehearsals with accompanist, and instrument adjustment classes begin Tuesday morning and are scheduled through Friday afternoon. The week concludes with a recital featuring the performers on Friday, June 28, 2024. More details to come. 

Fees: 

Performer Fee: $725; Early Reg $700

Auditor Fee: $500

Single Day Auditor Fee: $125

Registration Opens: February 15, 2024 (Early Bird Registration Closes April 15, 2024) & closes May 15, 2024, Deposit: $250

Riverview Hall, with apartment style housing - named for its views of the American River, houses 436 residents and features a fitness center, cardio studio, study lounges, computer lab, game and movie lounge, laundry room, community, and classroom space for events.

World class instruction & inspiration with one-on-one coaching on assigned orchestral excerpts, solo English horn repertoire with reed making classes (open to auditors) provided by Ms. Hove.

 

Expert repair, adjustments, supplies & instruction will be provided by Mark Chudnow.

Early registration is encouraged as participants will be limited to 20 with unlimited auditor spots available.
